  • "Tenant" refers to any User who uses the Service to make rental payments
  • "Landlord" refers to any User who uses the Service to manage properties and receive payments

3. Tenant-Specific Terms

3.1 Payment Processing

  • All payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
  • PadPal does not store, process, or have direct access to your banking information
  • By using our Service, you authorize recurring payments as specified in your lease agreement
  • You are responsible for maintaining sufficient funds for scheduled payments
  • Failed payments may result in late fees as specified in your lease agreement

3.2 Tenant Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment information
  • Report any unauthorized charges immediately
  • Comply with all lease terms and payment schedules
  • Maintain accurate contact information

4. Landlord-Specific Terms

4.1 Account Management

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate property and lease information
  • Must provide valid banking information for receiving payments
  • Required to comply with all applicable landlord-tenant laws
  • Must maintain accurate records of all transactions

4.2 Landlord Responsibilities

  • Ensure all property listings and lease terms are accurate
  • Promptly address tenant concerns and maintenance requests
  • Maintain compliance with local rental laws and regulations
  • Keep all provided information current and accurate

5. General Terms

5.1 Account Security

  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials
  • Any activity under a User's account is their responsibility
  • Users must notify PadPal immediately of any unauthorized access

5.2 Service Modifications

  • PadPal reserves the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service
  • Users will be notified of significant changes to the Service
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modifications

5.3 Prohibited Activities

  • Unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interference with the Service's functionality
  • Submission of false or misleading information
  • Any illegal or fraudulent activities

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Processing

  • All payment processing is handled by Stripe
  • PadPal does not store credit card or bank account information
  • Processing fees may apply as specified during registration

6.2 Refunds

  • Refund policies are subject to individual lease agreements
  • Processing fees are non-refundable
  • Disputed charges must be reported within 60 days

7. Limitation of Liability

PadPal is not liable for:

  • Actions of Users
  • Payment processing issues beyond our control
  • Service interruptions
  • Data loss or security breaches not caused by our negligence
  • Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

8. Termination

  • Termination does not affect existing payment obligations
